NERC PhD Studentships, University of Cambridge

The Department of Zoology is offering PhD studentships funded by NERC for the academic year 2010/11. These awards are available to UK nationals and EU students who meet the UK residency requirements, about which further information can be found at:www.nerc.ac.uk/funding/studentships/studentship_eligibility.pdf

Candidates must have a 1st or 2:1 (or equivalent) honours degree in a relevant Biological Science. Full details of the Department’s research interests, with potential supervisors, can be found on the web at: www.zoo.cam.ac.uk.

By following the link to Postgraduate Training, you will be able to access the current Postgraduate Training booklet, which is also available as hard copy from the Graduate Secretary (see below).Applicants should contact a potential supervisor and agree a project before applying.How to Apply: Please send a letter of application, stating the supervisor and proposed project, a one page description of the project, a c.v. plus the names and full contact details of two academic referees. No formal application to the University is necessary at this stage.
