Bursary will cover full UK / EU fees plus a maintenance grant of £6,252 per annum.

The Faculty of Engineering and Computing undertakes high quality research with industrial and academic partners in the areas of:

We are seeking to increase the level of research activity by offering PhD studentships with associated bursaries across all our subject areas. Successful applicants will study under one of our professors or readers in their research centre or group.

Experience required
Applicants will be expected to have a good Honours or Masters degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised academic institution. An IELTS score of 7 is required for students who do not have English as a first language.
Bursaries
Each Studentship is for a period of three years at the end of which it is expected that the PhD will be completed. The bursary to support each Studentship will cover the full time fees for a home/EU student and a maintenance grant of £6252 per annum. Successful applicants will be expected to undertake some unpaid teaching duties within the Faculty. Overseas students are welcome to apply however they will need to pay the balance between overseas and home/EU fees.
